Jutta Tobias is a social psychologist whose focuses on linking economic with social development has led to numerous field research projects on intergroup perceptions and post-conflict collaboration in Europe, Africa, and the U.S.  Dr. Tobias serves as the James Marshall Public Policy Scholar at the Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues, bridging the gap between science, business, and policy, and lobbying in Congress for better outcomes for the less fortunate. 

Recent field work in Africa include a study of intergroup contact and its link to reconciliation attitudes amongst rural Rwandans in commercial contexts, and capacity-building project work focused on telecommunications liberalization in Ethiopia.
