Julie Burden is the director of event strategy at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University. She has over twelve years of experience in fundraising and event management.

Prior to joining the Mercatus Center, she was the director of development at the Tax Foundation. She has also served as fundraising and event management consultant at the Ethics and Public Policy Center, development manager at the Washington Chamber Symphony, and events manager at Biola University.

Ms. Burden studied at Biola University in California and graduated summa cum laude with a degree in English literature.
