Leah Kral is the performance measurement manager at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University. She advances the improvement of measurement and evaluation systems. She works closely with program teams to implement measurement system tools such as logic models and develops data collection and reporting systems to assess performance against strategies.

Before joining Mercatus, she spent six years in the private sector implementing quality systems, completed a one year fellowship in nonprofit management at the Charles G. Koch Charitable Foundation, and completed a two year tour of duty in the U.S. Peace Corps teaching information technology at an inner city teachers’ college in Kingston, Jamaica. She received a Master of Arts in Public Policy from Duquesne University, and a Bachelor of Arts in English literature from The University of Central Oklahoma. For her master's thesis, she researched property rights as a precondition to development in Jamaica. Ms. Kral is a native of the Buckeye State.
