Michael J. Clark received his Ph.D. in economics from George Mason University in January of 2011. He is currently an Assistant Professor of Economics at Hillsdale College. At Hillsdale, Michael has been an active member of the faculty, teaching a variety of classes, running the economics honorary, engaging in non-classroom events, and becoming the personal advisor for many students. Previously, he has taught as a visiting professor at the University of Baltimore, teaching in classes on economics and statistics. At the University of Baltimore, Michael taught to students in the MBA program and to undergraduates. His consistently high student evaluations earned him a University of Baltimore School of Business top teacher award in 2009. While his passion lies in the classroom, his research has also been fruitful. He has three co-authored publications and one published book review. His research focuses on political economy and Adam Smith.
