Biography
Peter Leeson is the BB&T Professor for the Study of Capitalism at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University.
His popular articles, published as an adjunct scholar at the Mackinac Center for Public Policy, have appeared in newspapers across the country as well as outlets such as National Review Online. Dr. Leeson is the Ludwig von Mises Research Fellow for the Review of Austrian Economics, and is co-editor of the two-volume work entitled, The Legacy of Ludwig von Mises: Theory and History. Dr. Leeson’s academic articles have been published in such journals such Kyklos, American Journal of Economics and Sociology, Economic Affairs, and the Journal of Public Finance and Public Choice.
Dr. Leeson graduated summa cum laude from Hillsdale College where he studied economics and earned his PhD in economics from George Mason University, where he was a Mercatus Center graduate fellow.
