Stephen Jones

Stephen Jones is a second year MA student in the Department of Economics at George Mason University. Stephen graduated summa cum laude from Florida Atlantic University with a BA concentrating in economics. He worked at Tenke-Fengurume Mining in the Democratic Republic of the Congo as a Community Development Special Projects Assistant and has interned with the State Department. Stephen was also a NSEP-Boren Scholar to Tanzania and received a Council of American Ambassadors Fellowship. His research interests include the political economy of the administrative state, theory of regulation, development economics, constitutional economics, and institutional economics. Stephen's current research examines the political economy of failed states, the causes of regulation, and the complexity and outcomes of the regulatory process.
