Steven Yamarik is a Professor of Economics at California State University in Long Beach. His research focuses on the macroeconomic aspects of trade and growth. In particular, he explores (i) U.S. regional growth, (ii) returns to U.S. schooling, (iii) impact of regional trading arrangements on international trade and development and other areas. Although well-grounded in growth and trade theory, his research is largely empirical with use of panel data, time-series and Bayesian econometric techniques.
