In June 2012, Terry received an appointment by President Obama to serve as Ambassador, Head of U.S. Delegation for the World Conference on International Telecommunications which will be held in December 2012 in Dubai. This role will focus on leading a delegation of U.S. government, industry, and civil society representatives negotiating a treaty on international telecommunications and internet policy.
