Chad Van Schoelandt is an associate professor in the Department of Philosophy at Tulane University and an affiliated fellow with the F. A. Hayek Program for Advanced Study in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics. He earned his PhD in philosophy at the University of Arizona in 2015, where he specialized in social and political philosophy and normative ethics. Chad was a Mercatus Center Adam Smith fellow during the 2013-2014 and 2014-2015 academic years. He earned an MA in philosophy from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and a BA with high honors in philosophy from the University of California, Davis.
