F. A. Hayek Program
The F. A. Hayek Program for Advanced Study in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics is devoted to the promotion of teaching and research that supports free and prosperous societies.
"Nobody can be a great economist who is only an economist – and I am even tempted to add that the economist who is only an economist is likely to become a nuisance if not a positive danger."
The Markets & Society conference and journal aim to bring together scholars, students, and practitioners from various disciplines, ideological perspectives, and backgrounds, who seek to advance inquiry on economies and communities, the potential for human flourishing, the nature and consequences of institutions, the possibility and limits of governance and resilience, the burdens, biases, and injustices that result from human interaction and institutions, and the conditions for cooperation.
Virtual Sentiments is a new podcast from the Hayek Program in which Kristen Collins interviews scholars and practitioners grappling with pressing problems in political economy with an eye to the past. Season One examines the relationship between digital technology and democracy from a myriad of perspectives.
