Anthony DiGiorgio

Dr. Anthony DiGiorgio is a neurosurgeon at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) who cares for patients with traumatic brain injuries or spinal cord injuries. He also specializes in minimally invasive spine surgery. He primarily works out of Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center, the county-run safety-net hospital.

DiGiorgio's policy research focuses on Medicaid policy, access to care and healthcare economics.  

DiGiorgio earned his doctor of osteopathic medicine degree at Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine in California. He completed a residency in neurosurgery at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center New Orleans, where he also earned a master of health administration degree. At UCSF, he completed a fellowship in neurotrauma and neurocritical care as well as a research fellowship in minimally invasive and complex spine surgery.
