Jean Vilbert Pereira is a PhD student in Political Economy & Government at Harvard University. He earned an MA in International Public Affairs and Latin American Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, an LLM in Individual Rights from the University of West Santa Catarina, and a BA in Law from Regional Community University of Chapecó. He previously participated in the Visiting Dissertation Fellowship and the Frédéric Bastiat Fellowship. His research focuses on political economy, constitutional-legal design, and institutions under stress-inequality, poverty, and structural weakness. Particularly, he is interested in how legal institutions and judicial politics (may) impact socioeconomic well-being and the distribution of welfare.
