Matias Sur

Matias Sur is a PhD student in Romance Studies at Duke University. He earned an MA in Literary Studies from the University of Notre Dame and a BA in Global Affairs from George Mason University. He studies reception history, specifically how literature impacts politics and politics impact literature, and focuses on Dante’s body of work and the relationship between literature and political movements.
