Maximilian Diemer is a PhD student in History at Princeton University. He earned an MPhil in History from the University of Oxford, an MA in History from Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University, and a BA in History from the University of Munich. He previously participated in the Frédéric Bastiat Fellowship and the Don Lavoie Fellowship. His research focuses on the emergence and impact of meritocracy from the 17th to the 19th century in Europe, particularly its effects on state administrations.
