Rubby Haji Naif is a PhD student in Social Anthropology at the University of Cambridge. She earned an MPhil in Middle East Studies from the University of Cambridge, as well as an MA in Anthropology and a BA in Media & Communication from American University of Beirut. Her research focuses on the experiences of Muslim-background immigrants, particularly Syrians in Germany, drawing on insights from Middle East studies, social athropology and public policy to explore the dynamics that influence their integration process, as well as the role of refugee entrepreneurship and economic empowerment in this process.
