Brian Marein
- Assistant Professor of Economics, University of Toronto
Brian Marein earned his PhD in economics at the University of Colorado Boulder. His research interests include economic development and economic history. His dissertation explores the economic development of Puerto Rico after US annexation, and his research more generally examines US interventions in Latin America in the early twentieth century. Brian earned a BS in economics and Spanish from The Ohio State University. He was a Mercatus Center Adam Smith Fellow during the 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 academic years.
