Asma Uddin is a visiting fellow with the Mercatus Center’s Program on Pluralism and Civil Exchange. A leading scholar on religious freedom, Uddin is the author of When Islam Is Not a Religion and The Politics of Vulnerability, exploring the complexities of religious liberty in contemporary society. She has served as counsel with the Becket Fund for Religious Liberty and is a frequent speaker on issues of faith, law, and pluralism. Uddin’s work bridges legal theory, social psychology, and pluralism to address America's growing polarization around identity conflicts.
