Program Manager for the Fiscal and Labor Policy Teams
Susannah Petitt is a Program Manager for the Fiscal and Labor Policy Teams at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University and author of the Substack Upward Bound. Her research focuses on women’s economic empowerment and family formation. Petitt’s commentary has been featured at The Hill, Reason Magazine, National Review, RealClearPolicy, and the Detroit News. She is also a Social Mobility Fellow with Young Voices.
Prior to joining Mercatus, she worked in communications at the American Enterprise Institute and the Mackinac Center for Public Policy. Petitt holds a BA in Economics from Grove City College and an MA in Economics from George Mason University. She is an alumna of the Mercatus MA Fellowship.
